It's as old as FFVIII itself: which is superior, FFVII or FFVIII. I have only played a little of both, but have been caught in the crossfireon at least two separate occasions. One was between friends. The other, sparked at GameStop when I bought my ps1 memory card.

Sales Clerk 1: What ps1 game are you playing?
Me: Final Fantasy VIII.
SC1: *Nerdgasm noise*
SC2, hiding behind counter: VII's better!
SC1: What!
Me: Have fun guys!
SC1: You've started something!

So I love nerds.

Anyway, as I've stated previously in this entry, I have only played a little of both. But I can cast my vote, and it's for FFVII. Now that I understand more of how to play VIII, meaning leveling the GFs and junctioning magic, it's a little more enjoyable. But for LAGUNA ALONE, I cannot concede the victory to VIII. Just no.

The FFVIII cast of characters have yet to endear themselves to me, especially the main characters, and pretty much everything involving the Forest Owls is dumb. Then again, I am still on Disc 1 of both games. Unless something drastic happens...yeah.
